Event Description

In most novel query letters, the make-it or break-it part is your novel hook, those 100 or so words that tell the agent or editor about your protagonist and the story problem. Most writers make the mistake of telling too much or telling the wrong things. In this webinar, you'll learn:

  1. The 3 key elements you need in your novel hook (plus that special twist)
  2. The most common errors that writers make when constructing a hook
  3. How to ensure you use words that have the most impact and really resonate with a publishing professional
  4. What overall things you should check for in your query that may devalue your novel hook

BONUS: All attendees will be invited to submit their novel hook (up to 250 words) for potential critique during the live event. Any hook over 250 words will not be eligible for critique.
